DeMolay, Mason, and Shriner

When I was an early teen I joined the De Molay for young men. My father was not allowed in the meetings, so he joined the Masonic Lodge and became involved with the youth group. I left for the Marine Corps when I was 18 and on my return I joined Glendale Masonic Lodge. Shortly thereafter, I joined El-Zaribah and the Director's Staff Shrine Unit. So far, I'm having the time of my life and will continue to have fun as long as they let me.

Why did I Join

My earliest recollection about anything Masonic is going to my cousin Michelle Job's Daughters dances in La Habra California. I was about 5 years old and a little shy, so I mainly attached to my parents. My sister joined Job's Daughters in California and stayed active when we moved to Arizona. I was a little older now and wasn't nearly as shy. The dances started to become a whole lot better.

My Papa was a member of Conejo Valley Lodge in Thousand Oaks California. He was the reason my father joined the Blue Lodge when I was a teenager. My father was a Member of of Glendale Lodge and is now a member of Hiram Daylight. My Papa was a member of Al Malaikah Shrine Center and later my Father joined El-Zaribah Shrine Center. They were both the inspiration in me joining the Blue Lodge and Shriner's of North America.

Though my family planted the seed, it was their purpose that kept me active. Please continue to the next few pages to find out what they do and why they do it.
